🌳 Camping in Long Beach, Washington
If you’re dreaming of ocean breezes, sandy toes, and cozy evenings under the stars, let us introduce you to one of our all-time favorite places to camp: Thousand Trails Long Beach. Nestled right along the Washington coast, this spot is pure magic for RVers like us.
We love it here so much, and we can’t wait to tell you why it might just become your favorite too!
🌊 Beachfront Camping Vibes
One of the absolute best things about Thousand Trails Long Beach is its location. It’s tucked just steps from the beach—yes, steps! You can actually hear the waves from your site, and it never gets old.
We adore walking to the beach in the evening, watching the sky change colors while the waves roll in. Morning coffee tastes better with salty air, and the peaceful sound of the ocean is the perfect lullaby at night. Whether you’re into beachcombing, flying kites, or building sandcastles, it’s all right there.
🏊 The Amenities Are a Dream
This campground has all the fun stuff and comforts that make a stay easy and relaxing. Here are a few of the things we really love:
- ✨ An amazing indoor pool and hot tub — perfect for a relaxing soak after a long bike ride or beach day
- 🏊 Fish cleaning station — for all you anglers who come back with a catch
- 🏋️ Playground and playroom — great for little ones to burn off some energy
- 🎒 Game and activity rooms — perfect for those cozy indoor moments
- 🌍 Full hookups and spacious sites — room to spread out and feel right at home
It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind, whether you’re staying for a weekend or a whole season.
🚴️ Right on the Discovery Trail
Okay, here’s what really steals our hearts: the Discovery Trail runs right through the campground. You can hop on your bike straight from your RV and be on one of the most beautiful trails on the coast.
This 8.5-mile paved path meanders along the beach, through windswept dunes and forests, and leads all the way to Cape Disappointment and the iconic North Head Lighthouse. It’s seriously stunning.
We use this trail for everything—morning rides, quick walks into town, and sunset adventures. Don’t miss the giant gray whale skeleton along the way. It’s such a fun (and slightly spooky!) surprise.
📍 Why We Keep Coming Back
Thousand Trails Long Beach is more than just a campground to us. It’s a peaceful escape, an adventure base, and one of those rare places that feels like home the moment you arrive.
Whether you’re exploring the Discovery Trail, enjoying the kite festival, or just soaking in the hot tub after a day at the beach, this place checks all the boxes.
